Steve Purtee is a college Mathematics and Physics professor from Orlando, Florida who makes metal records. Not as a side hustle. Not as a hobby. As a genuine creative obsession.

The influences are old school, Queensrÿche, Helloween, Overkill, Blind Guardian, Bad Religion , and the music sounds like it. That's not an accident. It's a choice.

The Way is a 3-part concept album about the rise and fall of Harold Lander, a charismatic cult leader.   The album explores the dangers of religious fanaticism.
